The World Youth Choir (WYC) is an international youth choir. The choir was created in 1989. it is a project choir reformed through auditions each year, consisting of singers aged between 17 and 26 from up to 75 different countries.

The choir is organised by the WYC Foundation^[1], based in Amsterdam, which is a cooperation between Jeunesses Musicales International, the International Federation for Choral Music, and since 2002 Europa Cantat^[2], which merged into the European Choral Association.

In 1996, the World Youth Choir was names UNESCO Artist for Peace^[3]. The choir performed at a number of notable events, including twice at the Olympic Games (Summer 1992, 2008) and the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony (2011)^[4].
