The Xiaomi Mi 10S[1] is an Android smartphone developed by Xiaomi Inc., launched in March 2021 in the Chinese market. It is part of the Mi 10 series and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor. Known for its premium design and high-quality Harman Kardon-tuned speakers, the Mi 10S has gained attention as a high-end alternative within Xiaomi's lineup. Unlike the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro, Mi 10S is only available on the Chinese market.
Specifications
editDesign
editThe Mi 10s uses an aluminum frame, Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and Gorilla Glass 5 on the back. The display is curved and slightly smaller than the Mi 10 Ultra; a punch-hole cutout in the upper left-hand corner houses the front-facing camera. The camera module is rectangular and protrudes slightly, with a lower module housing three sensors and the flash, and an upper module for the depth sensor with a silver accent. It is available in Twilight Gray, Pearl White, and Coral Green.
Hardware
editThe Mi 10s is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor,[2] with the Adreno 650 GPU. Storage is non-expandable with 128 or 256 GB of UFS 3.1 paired with 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM.
It has a 6.67-inch (169 mm) FHD+ AMOLED display with HDR10+ support, and an optical (in-screen) fingerprint scanner. The panel has a 90 Hz refresh rate,[3] compared to the higher 120 Hz on the Mi 10 Ultra, and can display one billion colors. The battery is a Li-Polymer 4780mAh[4] capacity; charging is supported wired over USB-C at up to 33W or wirelessly at up to 30 W (Qi), with 10W reverse charging.
The rear features a quad-camera setup, with a 108 MP wide sensor, a 13 MP ultrawide sensor, a 2 MP macro sensor, and a 2 MP depth sensor.[5] The front-facing camera uses a 20 MP sensor. The camera system offers great performance, especially in still photography, but does not hold the highest DxOMark scores as seen in the Mi 10 Ultra.
However, It has it's place in the sound leaderboard in DxOMark at the 10th position[6]
Software
editThe Xiaomi Mi 10S came first with Android 11 with Xiaomi's MIUI 12.
Currently, the phone has Android 13 with Xiaomi's Hyper OS 1 (1.0.4.0.TGACNXM)
