Yvonne Kagondu (born October 2, 1995) is a Kenyan entrepreneur and co-founder of ICP Hub Kenya. Between 2018-2022, Yvonne amassed a reputation as a public speaker in blockchain and Web3 events in East Africa.[1][2] With insufficient experience, she bootstrapped an Airbnb in Utawala in 2022.[3][4] Yvonne's focus on women's empowerment within the blockchain spectrum is the catalyst for the Kenya Blockchain Ladies DAO.[5]

Education
editYvonne started elementary education at Precious Blood Riruta, then went to Limuru Girls High School which are public schools in Nairobi,Kenya. Later finished at Busara ForestView and was later called to Preciuos Blood Riruta after primary school.
She attended Strathmore University between 2014 and 2018 and was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Financial Economics.[6] In addition, she enrolled in a software development program at Moringa School coding bootcamp.
Involvement in blockchain
editAfter participating in the Google digital skills for Africa initiative, Yvonne devoted time to blockchain technology adoption activities in Kenya through several initiatives,[7] narrowing a great part of these initiatives to onboard women into blockchain.[8]
Local reports from Kenya attributed Yvonne's one-man show in leading Kenya Blockchain Ladies DAO to the closure of the community established in 2022.[8]
As founder of Kenya Blockchain Ladies DAO, Yvonne organized a meet-up in Nairobi for Bitcoin Pizza Day.[9]
