The article is fully rewritten, removing the resume style of the previous version, and following the standard of similar articles. Several more references to the content have been added. Please comment if you believe fulfills Wikipedias criteria. Arne Johnson has been my PhD supervisor 1985-1990 that gave me some first hand knowledge into his early research. Together with a colleague, Mark Riley, we wrote a popular science article on the history of backbending, see ref https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/10619127.2022.2063000 also referred to in the article. My research field lateron developed in different area from Arne Johnson, towards theoretical nuclear physics. He has been retired since many years, so have I and there is no conflict of interest.
