Perspective Thoughts
Perspective leaning on the German and British Digital Transformation background of the term, this might not apply to other regions and be to narrow (but a good example)
Possibly too close relation to the Chief Transformation Officer or other terms (maybe merging?)
Thoughts about the Sources
the Master Thesis is one of the only synthesizers that are a bit more neutral regarding the background of the German Digital Transformation. Consideration: a Master Thesis is closely reviewed by the Professors, University and sometimes even published in journals and has usually a higher quality than a Bachelor’s Thesis. Primary consideration is that it is one of the rare ones on the subject. The choice is possibly disputable under the Wiki Source Independence requirement
Job Applications are from companies. Companies have a high interest in increasing the scope of a role to pay less for more work. But they also play a leading role in defining the term and it’s role. However, this should not be an issue, as the selected segments from those Job Postings are usually more independent reviewable, neutral and equally existing in other sources, they are not biased into a company’s structure or otherwise "profitable" for them
The Engineering World Journal is NOT listed as predatory (source: https://www.iaras.org/iaras/filedownloads/ijels/2024/002-0001(2024).pdf, p.5). For the source 2, which is https://wseas.com/journals/articles.php?id=7817 by MAMEDOVA, NATALIA; BELYAKOVA, ELENA; ARKADIY, URINTSOV of April 2023 (also published on ResearchGate). The source seems to be reliable, uninterested, independent, secondary and in that sense even third-party. This may be disputed under other considerations
the TOP 10 CDTO’s list and company list might be considered too fashionably and not objective enough but this is per gusto. But they also depict it correctly as an American/English continent "thing", not just European or Asian
