The International Association for Group Psychotherapy and Group Processes (IAGP) is a prominent Swiss association dedicated to advancing the field of group psychotherapy and group processes. With its headquarters in Kreuzlingen, Canton Thurgau, the IAGP was established in Zurich in 1973. Our mission is to promote group psychotherapy and facilitate the organization of group processes in various settings, encompassing small, medium, and large groups. By facilitating collaboration among diverse, multicultural societies, we aim to promote the growth and progress of group psychotherapy on a global scale. Currently, IAGP boasts representatives from 24 countries who actively contribute to our initiatives. Our association is internally organized into six specialized sections that promote international collaboration and expertise. These sections include Family Therapy, Group Analysis, Psychodrama, Organizational Consulting, Transcultural Work, and the Young Professional Group Experts Section. Through these dedicated sections, we encourage specialization, research, and professional development within specific domains while fostering interdisciplinary cooperation and knowledge sharing among our esteemed members. As a leading force in the field of group psychotherapy, the International Association for Group Psychotherapy and Group Processes is dedicated to advancing the discipline, promoting cross-cultural cooperation, and maximizing the effective utilization of group processes for the betterment of individuals and societies worldwide.
