Contested deletion

edit

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because... Both sites in question are mirror sites. --Smcupcake19 (talk) 00:17, 7 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Fair, I missed that. Just thought they were really weird sites from my initial look. SamStrongTalks (talk) 00:22, 7 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Too long/detailed

edit

Im not sure if this was copy/pasted from somewhere or if this was truly all written from scratch, but this draft is way, WAY too long and detailed for a fictional character article on Wikipedia. Like, almost speedy deletion worthy, as it's just far far removed from what would ever be published. This is the sort of stuff that goes on fan wiki as, not Wikipedia. This would need radical reworking if it ever hopes to be published. Sergecross73 msg me 14:10, 3 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Contested deletion

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because... they copied it from the main Wikipedia page (which I'd written) before it was deleted. --Smcupcake19 (talk) 00:42, 14 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

The fact that you copy/pasted it from one location to another on Wikipedia would not prevent it from being a copyright violation originally... Sergecross73 msg me 00:52, 14 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
There's about 134k of "biography" that was added in October 2020 to the main page, but it is way, way too much detail covering involvement in practically every episode. This might have been copied to the JH Fandom page on 20 October 2020, but is way out of control, regardless. AngusWđŸ¶đŸ¶F (bark ‱ sniff) 02:20, 14 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
The content from August-October 2020 is known to have some minor scattered COPYVIO from official texts, and, separately, a few sections of unattributed Fandom copying. Either way, Draft space is not a permanent place to store text that was removed from mainspace and won't ever be reintroduced. -- ferret (talk) 02:24, 14 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I've almost deleted the page myself for that very reason, and the section I created just above this. This isn't an appropriate draft to keep around because 99% of it would never appropriate for publishing. (And as Angus has stated, there's already a mediocre article published for the subject that is infinitely better than this.) Sergecross73 msg me 11:36, 14 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
