Draft talk:UnoriginalVinyl

Some Notes on My Approach on the UnoriginalVinyl Article

edit

I wanted to drop a note here to explain some of the choices I made for the UnoriginalVinyl article and how I approached sourcing and tone suggestions from my last submissions:

Sources Overview:

• Primary Source: I used the company’s website mainly for straightforward facts, like how the name came about. I’ve labeled it as a primary source to keep things transparent. • Main Secondary Source: Most of the details come from an in-depth interview published by IndieVisionMusic, which gives a lot of background on UnoriginalVinyl’s history, major projects, and overall approach. IndieVision has been used as a source in other articles, so I felt confident using it here. • Extra Context: I’ve added a few other sources where possible to round out the info.

Tone and Neutrality:

I’ve done my best to keep the tone neutral and factual, steering clear of anything that might sound promotional. Citations are spread out to back up key points without overloading the article.

Hope this gives some insight into how I put the article together. Feel free to share any feedback or thoughts—I’d appreciate any input!

Since the last review, substantial edits have been made to address previous feedback. The article now includes in-depth citations from reliable secondary sources, such as IndieVisionMusic and The Rumors Are True Podcast, to demonstrate the notability and independent coverage of UnoriginalVinyl. Primary sources were removed to adhere to Wikipedia’s guidelines on sourcing. The infobox was updated to provide more detailed information on the company’s industry, products, and services. The text has been revised to maintain a neutral tone and encyclopedic quality. I welcome any further feedback or suggestions for improvement. SkellyRen (talk) 18:20, 14 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the earlier feedback. I’ve made some solid updates to the draft to address concerns about notability and sources:
1. New Sources Added: I’ve brought in more independent and reliable sources like Punk Rock Theory, ThePRP, and BrooklynVegan. These cover UnoriginalVinyl’s work on high-profile projects with bands like Stretch Arm Strong, Zao, and Hopesfall, showing the company’s influence in the industry.
2. Better Notable Projects Section: I updated this section to highlight UnoriginalVinyl’s key contributions with more detail, backed by the new sources.
3. Citation Clean-Up: I reduced the repetition of the same source and focused on a clearer, one-time use of citations to keep things tidy and in line with Wikipedia’s guidelines. SkellyRen (talk) 20:11, 14 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
