Dueño de nada was the 14th studio album recorded by the Venezuelan artist José Luis Rodríguez. It was released on the Discos CBS Internacional record label in 1982. The album was directed and produced in Madrid, Spain by Spanish composer and music producer Manuel Alejandro and co-produced by David Beigdeber and sound engineer José Antonio Álvarez Alija. A version in Portuguese was recorded for the Brazilian CBS affiliate where it includes the song Me vas seguir de menos (Atrévete). It was included on the list of the "100 albums you should have before the end of the world", published in 2012 by Sony Music. The album sold more than 15 million copies worldwide, making it the second best-selling album composed by Manuel Alejandro after of "Secrets" by José José and the best seller by José Luis Rodríguez. The singles "Dueño de nada", ", "Si a veces hablo de ti", "Te propongo separarnos", "Un toque de locura" y "Hay muchas cosas que me gustan de ti" reached No. 1 in Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Spain, Uruguay, Mexico, Central America, Israel, Venezuela, U.S.A. and Italy.
