Dwijdeo Mishra was the king of the Mishra dynasty of the Ayodhya, the last royal rulers of Ayodhya.[1] Mishra empire that lasted for about a century was able to hold on to the concept of Ram Rajya. The empire was established by Bakhtawar singh Pathak and it prospered during the reign of Raja Darshan singh Pathak. When major sleeman toured awadh province, he wrote that Ayodhya under Brahmin rulers was one of the most prosperous estate in awadh. More than 1500 villages were under this estate.
