Dylan DaSean Stewart (born September 14, 2005) is an American football defensive end for the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Early life

Stewart attended Friendship Collegiate Academy in Washington, D.C.. As a junior in 2022, he had 16 sacks. Stewart was selected to play in the 2024 Under Armour All-America Game.[1] A five-star recruit, he committed to the University of South Carolina to play college football.[2][3][4]

College career

In his first collegiate game his true freshman year at South Carolina in 2024, he had four tackles, 1.5 sacks and two forced fumbles.[5][6]

Controversies

In an October 2024 game against the University of Mississippi Rebels, the Gamecocks were given a 15-yard Unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after Stewart sacked quarterback Jaxson Dart, then mimed shooting Dart repeatedly with a shotgun.[7] The Rebels went on to win the game, 27-3.
