It embodies a hopeful declaration for future prosperity and wealth. It is mostly given to the male gender and this aligns with traditional values/belief of destiny among the Isoko people. The name sometimes can be splitted into two and given independently of the other. So there are people whose name is just Edajoro and others are named Marefe.
