Elachista tanaella is a moth of the family Elachistidae. It is only known from northern Norway.

The wingspan is 8.5–11.5 millimetres (0.33–0.45 in). Adults have been recorded in July.[2]
The larvae feed on Carex rotundata. They mine the leaves of their host plant.[3]
