Early life

edit

MJ first gained recognition as a member of the UK boy band New Bounce in Britain's Got Talent series 5 in 2011.[1][2][3][4][5] [6] The band finished in third place.

Before their Britain's Got Talent appearance, the members of New Bounce met while performing as the young Michael Jacksons in the West End show Thriller – Live at the Lyric Theatre, London on Shaftesbury Avenue.[7] The boy band later signed with Simon Cowell, and went on the Britain's Got Talent Tour[8] .Ultimately the band disbanded the member James left to pursue a solo career.[9] MJ continued his professional career, reprising his role as young Michael Jackson in Thriller – Live[10] , performing across the world.[11]

To mark the first anniversary of Michael Jackson's passing, MJ Mytton-Sanneh,[12][13][14] along with five other young actors who portrayed Jackson in Thriller – Live, recorded and performed a cover of 'Speechless (Michael Jackson song) – The Tribute' at the Lyric Theatre, London, with all proceeds benefiting the charity War Child.[15]

He commented, "This artist has 0 monthly listeners [on Spotify] but performs like he has been doing arena tours his entire life."
