DescriptionDr. Samuel Johnson- Letter of Thanks for His Oxford Degree.webm
English: "Samuel Johnson was an English writer who made lasting contributions as a poet, playwright, essayist, moralist, literary critic, sermonist, biographer, editor, and lexicographer. The Oxford Dictionary of National Biography calls him "arguably the most distinguished man of letters in English history". Johnson attended Oxford University, but was forced to leave without a degree after just thirteen months due to financial problems. He would never graduate, but eventually, just before the publication of his Dictionary in 1755, the University awarded him the degree of Master of Arts." From Wikipedia.
