English: This true-color image of Hurricane Iota was captured on November 16, 2020, at 13:20 UTC (7:20 AM Nicaraguan Local Time), by the Advanced Baseline Imager (ABI) instrument flying aboard NOAA's GOES 16 satellite. Hurricane Iota was a late-season major hurricane originating from a disturbance in the Caribbean Sea during the record-breaking 2020 Atlantic hurricane season. When this image was captured, Iota was peaking in intensity while located east of Nicaragua. The intensity of Iota was a Category 4 Major Hurricane, with winds of 155 miles per hour (250 km/h) (135 knots) on the 1-min Saffir-Simpson scale and a minimum central pressure of 917 mbar (27.1 inHg).
