"Ich bin hier angeklagt, weil man für den fehlenden Himmler und andere mir vollkommen konträre Elemente Stellvertreterschaft braucht. Ob meine Haltung und Darstellung nun angenommen oder verworfen werden, ich bitte Sie, das Schicksal und die Ehre Hunderttausender gefallener und lebender Männer der Allgemeinen SS, der Waffen-SS und der Beamtenschaft, die bis zum Letzten tapfer und ideal gläubig ihr Reich verteidigt haben, nicht mit Ihrem gerechten Fluche gegen Himmler zu verknüpfen.
