English: Martin Luserke (born on 3 May, 1880 in Berlin; deceased on 1 June, 1968 in Meldorf, Holstein, Germany), German bard, writer and progressive educator, co-founder of two boarding-schools, Freie Schulgemeinde (1906) in Wickersdorf near Saalfeld in Thuringia Forest and of Schule am Meer (1925) on the East-Frisian island Juist. The picture shows him during an excursion to the Fichtel Mountains (= Fichtelgebirge), Franconia, Bavaria accompanied by students from Freie Schulgemeinde located at Wickersdorf near Saalfeld in Thuringia Forest.
