English: Students from Danish Gymnasium celebrates their exams in a boat on Sankt Hans Eve (a midsummer celebration in Denmark) next to a Danish bonfire with a traditional "witch" made of old clothes and wood (to be lit at sunset). The students are wearing the tradional Danish "studenterhue" (a calotte), indicating that they have passed their final exams in the Gymnasium. Until 2006, this eve was usually the last day the hat was worn, but final exams are now at later dates, so this is no longer the case. |
