Description, per British Museum catalogue:

Ivory double seal-matrix of Sir George Carey. It has circular faces connected by a moulded conical handle. On the larger face a three-masted man-of-war on the sea, the mainsail charged with the Carey arms, nine quarterings. Round the main-top, from which flies the Tudor banner, France and England quarterly, are three small shields charged respectively with a fleur-de-lis (?), the cross of St. George, and a portcullis (?). On the forecastle and stern respectively a lion and a dragon, each supporting a banner of St. George. From the mizen-mast flies a forked flag charged with a cross between four objects (mullets or fleurs-de-lis?), which appear also on a streamer flying from the foremast. The prow is in the form of a dragon's head with open mouth. On the gunwale, shields with badges similar to those round the main-top. Legend, interrupted in places by parts of the ship. On the smaller face, a shield of arms, almost square, with ogee base, surmounted and flanked by scroll designs, twenty quarterings:

His daughter and heiress was Elizabeth de Berkeley (d.1422), suo jure Baroness Berkeley, Baroness de Lisle and Baroness Tyes, who married Richard de Beauchamp/de Newburgh, Earl of Warwick. Her 2nd (of 3) daughter and co-heiress was Eleanor de Beauchamp, whose second husband was Edmund Beaufort, Duke of Somerset. (G. E. • 13: Teyes / Tyes (quartered by Lisle of Kingston Lisle: Warin de Lisle (d.1322) who founded the junior line at Kingston Lisle married Alice Teyes, sister and heiress of Henry, Lord Teyes. Sir Thomas Hoo (c.1370-1420) of Luton Hoo in Bedfordshire (son of Sir William Hoo (1335–1410) and his first wife Alice de St Omer) married firstly Eleanor de Felton (c. 1361-1400), the widow of Sir Robert de Ufford, de jure Lord Clavering (died c. 1393)), and the youngest of the three daughters of Sir Thomas de Felton (died 1381), of Litcham in Norfolk, Seneschal of Aquitaine, by his wife Joan Walkfare.
