English: The Senate Judiciary Committee voted 13-5 to recommend President Ronald Reagan’s nomination of Justice William Rehnquist to become Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. The committee also voted to recommend Judge Antonin Scalia to succeed Rehnquist as an Associate Justice. The recommendations will go to the U.S. Senate for approval.
