Description
English: Stonehouse Inn, owned by Josephine "Nana" Foster, welcomed guests including writers Jack London, Mary Austin, George Sterling, and Sinclair Lewis, as well as Ansel Adams. In 1923, cartoonist Gene Byrnes acquired the home. In 1946, the property was owned by Harold & Miriam Brown. Stonehouse is an example of early Craftsman-style architecture in Carmel.
