Spoken article quality assessment

edit

Version reviewed: As at 15 May 2008

Technical quality: Medium

  • Slightly echoey throughout; the "bubbly" effect suggests slightly too much noise reduction.
  • In section 2, the sound quality declines between "The entire album was recorded..." and "...never have been recorded", but recovers thereafter. Loud click during the word "1966".
  • Section 4.1.4 has some scraping sounds.
  • Slight background noise where the section headings have been edited into the main body of the recording.
  • Standard introduction and licence details are present and correct.

Clarity: High

  • Excellent enunciation. Pacing is good. Main body of the narration has been very smoothly edited.

Accuracy: High

  • Link to the historical version correctly provided on the upload page, and narrated in the text: a useful addition for the listener.
  • Matt Groening's non-standard surname ("GRAIN-ing") has been spoken as it is spelt.
  • In the external links section, "Chicago Democratic convention" is read as "Chicago Democrat convention".
  • A very "full" narration is given, in terms of image captions, infobox, table of contents, external links and so on, which is helpful for the listener.
