Freya Skye (born 17 October 2009) is an English singer-songwriter and actress. She represented the United Kingdom in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022, after which she was signed to Hollywood Records and to Disney Music Publishing as a songwriter. Skye has also garnered a talent holding deal for future projects with Disney Branded Television.[1] As an actress, she has appeared in The Next Step and is set to appear as Nova a day walker in Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires (Premieres July 10 2025 on Disney Channel and is available on Disney+ July 11 2025).

Life and career

Skye was born in Buckinghamshire, England. She started singing and acting at the age of five.[1] She released her debut single "I Love the Way" in 2021.[2] On 3 November 2022, it was announced that she would be representing the United Kingdom at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Yerevan, Armenia, to perform her song "Lose My Head".[2][3] She won the top spot in the online global public vote,[1] and finished fifth overall.[4] She was 13 years-old at the time.[2] She was featured in two BBC documentaries about her experience with Eurovision and her pop music career,[1] and was a part of the lineup at the London Eurovision Party 2023.[5]

Skye has worked as a voice actor on video games including Final Fantasy XVI (2023).[6] She appeared in season 9 of the Canadian series The Next Step on YTV, playing an exaggerated version of herself.[7] On 10 February 2024, it was announced that she would star in Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires, in the role of Nova.[6][8] On 19 July 2024, she released the single "Walk Over" under Hollywood Records.[9] It was followed by the single "Someone to Love",[10], "Can't Fake It" and “Who I Thought I knew” in 2025, which has amassed over 1 million views on Youtube since its release.[11]
