Geert Evert Booij (Dutch pronunciation: [ɣeːrd ˈboːi];[a] born 1947) is a Dutch linguist, and emeritus professor of linguistics at the University of Leiden. He is credited as the creator of construction morphology.[1][2][3][4][5]

Career
editBooij previously taught at the Vrije Universiteit and University of Amsterdam, and he has been a member of the National Research Council for Humanities since 1997. He was the Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Leiden between 2005 and 2007. He is a winner of Humboldt Research Award[6][7] and an Honorary Member of the Linguistic Society of America.[8][9]
