History
editGrant Township was organized in 1872. It was named for President Ulysses S. Grant.[1]
Geography
editGrant Township covers an area of 36.01 square miles (93.3 km2) and contains one incorporated settlement, Jamestown.[citation needed] According to the USGS, it contains two cemeteries: Jamestown and Saint Marys.[citation needed]
The streams of Cheyenne Creek, Little Cheyenne Creek, Marsh Creek and Skunk Creek run through this township.
