Greg Olson (historian)

Greg Olson (born 1959) is an American author, scholar, and historian currently living in Columbia, Missouri [1]. Olson was also the curator of exhibits and special projects at the Missouri State Archives.[2] He has also worked for the Missouri State Historical Society and the Blind Boone Home. Presently, Olson works solely as a writer and researcher. His works focus primarily on the Indigenous peoples of North America. He additionally gives talks about his research at schools and public events.[3]

Education

Olson first received a bachelor's degree in both art education and history in 1981 from Buena Vista University. He additionally has a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of South Dakota which he received in 1985, and a master's degree in history that he received from the University of Missouri in 2009. Although he is no longer a student, he continues his studies of indigenous history, art, and culture today.
