Career
editZabel attended T. F. Riggs High School in Pierre, South Dakota. He played both offensive and defensive line in high school. He committed to North Dakota State University to play college football.[1]
Zabel played at North Dakota State from 2020 to 2024.[2][3] After playing his first two years as a backup, he became a starter during the 2022 season.[4] Despite NIL offers to transfer to other schools, Zabel returned to North Dakota State for his final year in 2024.[5][6][7] He was invited to play in the 2025 Senior Bowl.[8]
