Hamidiyeh (Persian: حمیدیه)[a] is a city in the Central District of Hamidiyeh County, Khuzestan province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.[4]

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 21,977 in 3,949 households, when it was in the former Hamidiyeh District of Ahvaz County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 20,982 people in 4,731 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 22,057 people in 5,419 households,[2] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Hamidiyeh County. Hamidiyeh was transferred to the new Central District as the county's capital.[4]
