Harold Wallbanks (27 July 1921 – April 1993), sometimes known as Choppy Wallbanks,[2] was an English professional footballer who played as a right half in the Football League for Fulham, Southend United and Workington.[1] He played as a guest for Sunderland during the Second World War.[3][4]

Personal life
editWallbanks' brothers Fred, John, Horace and Jimmy also became footballers.[5] He worked as a miner in Northumberland during the Second World War.[3]
