Vandalism by User:Nishānt_Omm
editI wanted to caution here about the past vandalism by User:Nishānt_Omm on the Odia-language Wikipedia for which he was given multiple notifications which he declined repeatedly, and was subsequently banned from the project. He has recently been very active here and I would like to assume good faith. But I returned to this page to realize that he has reverted edits by others without any prior discussion and he did that today again. Unfortunately, while doing that, he also has tagged my edits, which are based on citation, the same one mentioned by another editor here, as potential vandalism. It is a bit ironic that he is banned on another Wikipedia, in his native language Wikipedia, by an admin, and tags the cited edits of the admin on another project as "potential vandalism". That wasn't vandalism. But, I tried to improve spelling. But, unfortunately, I got banned😭 Nishānt Omm (talk) 13:57, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
- Removal of citations and reverting without discussion is vandalism. Why would you do something like that? Can you please discuss here instead? Can you provide a clear reason what was the real issue in my edits? This page is for IPA, *NOT* IAST. There is a separate page for IPA. Kindly refrain from repeated vandalism like this. Also, your vandalism are logged on Odia Wikipedia for anyone to verify. The admins agreed about your vandalism and you were banned. Please check the edit summary and the link I had shared earlier. You don't need to lie and fight over something that is so publicly documented and choose another wiki for vandalizing and removing citations added by others. --Psubhashish (talk) 19:37, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
Pronunciation of ଯ (Antasthya Jô)
editThere are two letters in Odia alphabet for single sound /dʒ/,i.e, ଜ and ଯ. But, For the letters ଯ and ୟ, The IAST uses the same letter y for transliteration. Nishānt Omm (talk) 14:49, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
