editHirtopelta tufari lives in hot vent sites in the East Pacific Rise.[1]
Description
editThe gill of Hirtopelta tufari is enlarged and there are bacterial endosymbions in the gill.[1] Endosymbiotic bacteria provide nutrition to the snail.[1]
