History of women's rugby union matches between Australia and the United States

Australia and the United States first met on 2 August 1997 in Brisbane, Australia.[1] They have played each other seven times with the US Eagles winning five of those encounters.[1] They have met at three separate Rugby World Cup's — first at the 2002 Rugby World Cup in Spain, and also in the 2006 and 2014 tournaments. At the 2006 Rugby World Cup they faced each other in the pool stages and the play-offs with the United States winning both matches.
