Hokovce (Hungarian: Egeg) is a village and municipality in the Levice District in the Nitra Region of Slovakia.

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1245.

The village lies at an altitude of 138 metres and covers an area of 14.403 km2. It has a population of about 575 people.

Ethnicity

The village is approximately 47% Magyar, 52% Slovak and 1% Gypsy.
