editThe song illustrates the wishes of the narrator wanting to remain in the life of his love interest, as he promises he will do anything the woman he loves chooses, whether she wants him to stay or to leave. But he makes clear he has a desire to stay, if she's willing to allow it. And he is giving her the choice whatever it takes to satisfy her.

editThis was Diffie's first music video. It was directed by Marius Penczner and premiered in late 1990.

editThe song debuted at number 53 on the Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart dated December 15, 1990. It charted for 20 weeks on that chart, and peaked at number 2 on the country chart[1] dated March 2, 1991.
