JTC Group is a provider of fund administration services. It was listed on the London Stock Exchange and was a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index until it was acquired by Permira and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board in August 2026.
History
[edit]The company was established as Jersey Trust Company in Jersey in 1987 to provide fund management services to clients.[2] After buying Merrill Lynch's international trust and wealth structuring business in May 2017,[2] the company was the subject of an initial public offering on the London Stock Exchange in March 2018.[3] The company made two major acquisitions in 2020: it bought Sanne Group's private client business in March 2020[4] and then bought NES Financial for $40 million in April 2020.[5][6] It is based in Jersey but also has offices in Cape Town, Guernsey and Luxembourg.[7]
In November 2025 Permira and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board reached a deal to acquire JTC for approximately £2.3 billion.[8]
The transaction was completed on 20 August 2026.[9]
