Jablonov nad Turňou (Hungarian: Szádalmás) is a village and municipality in the Rožňava District in the Košice Region of middle-eastern Slovakia.
History
editIn historical records the village was first mentioned in 1235. Before the establishment of independent Czechoslovakia in 1918, Jablonov nad Turňou was part of Abaúj-Torna County within the Kingdom of Hungary. From 1938 to 1945, it was again part of Hungary as a result of the First Vienna Award.
Geography
editThe village lies at an altitude of 280 metres and covers an area of 24.463 km². It has a population of about 860 people.

editThe village has a pharmacy and a doctors surgery. It also has a public library and a football pitch.
