Early life
editKilgore attended high school at Putnam County. Coming out of high school, Kilgore was rated as a three star recruit, the number 44 safety, and the 43rd best prospect in the State of Georgia in the class of 2023.[1] Kilgore also held offers from schools such as Clemson, Oklahoma, Michigan, Tennessee Tech, South Florida, Florida State, North Carolina, Mississippi, Kentucky, Louisville, Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh and Vanderbilt.[2] Kilgore ultimately decided to commit to play college football for the South Carolina Gamecocks.[3][4]
College career
editIn Kilgore's first career game in week one of the 2023 season he notched 12 tackles versus North Carolina.[5] Kilgore finished his freshman season in 2023 notching 76 tackles with one and a half for a being for a loss, six pass deflections, an interception, and a forced fumble.[6] For his performance on the season, Kilgore was named a freshman all-American and was named to the SEC all freshman team.[7][8]
Personal life
editKilgore is the younger brother of Gerald Kilgore who is also a defensive back for South Carolina.[9]
