James Thibault is an American politician. He is the member-elect for the Merrimack 25th district of the New Hampshire House of Representatives.

Life and career
editThibault was born in Laconia, New Hampshire.[2] He graduated from Winnisquam Regional High School and attends Saint Anselm College.[3]
Thibault attended the American Legion's 2023 Boys Nation program, as well as the 62nd annual United States Senate Youth Program in 2024.[3] He also previously served as youth co-chair of the New Hampshire Legislative Youth Advisory Council.[4]
In September 2024, Thibault defeated Brandon Stevens in the Republican primary election for Merrimack County district 25 of the New Hampshire House of Representatives.[5] In November 2024, he defeated Joyce Fulweiler in the general election, winning 60 percent of the vote.[6] He will succeed Jason Gerhard as representative. When he assumes office,[2] he will be among the youngest state legislators in American history.[7]
