Miss England

edit

Gagen was crowned Miss England in October 2022, and was the first runner up in the previous year.[1] In the autumn of 2023, she visited Las Vegas, Nevada to give a keynote speech at the ASCEND Space Conference;[4] she then visited NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida to tour Boeing facilities.[5][6]

Gagen is the first redhead to win Miss England.[1]

Miss World 2023

edit

Gagen represented England and won Miss World 2023, from 18 February 2024 to 9 March 2024 in India.[7] Gagen wore a Mary-Poppins inspired dress for the Miss World opening ceremonies.[8] Gagen's speech about climate change and women in engineering, in the fast-track head-to-head speaking competition, moved her into the top 40.[8] She was later crowned Miss United Kingdom (which is a title given to the highest scorer from the UK at the preceding Miss World competition) and Miss World Europe (which is a title given to the highest scorer from Europe during the Miss World competition).[3]
