Jethro Callow Sheeran, who goes by the professional name Alonestar, is a British musician, music producer, rapper, and fashion model from Bristol, England.[1][2] He is a number one Billboard artist who has collaborated with musicians, including Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Macy Gray, Royce da 5′9″, Akon, DaBaby, Freeway, Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross, Ghostface Killah, Shatta Wale, Trippie Redd, Young Thug, Wiz Khalifa, DMX, and the rapper Future, among others.

Alonestar is the first cousin of Ed Sheeran, as their fathers are brothers. Alonestar has written and produced songs with his cousin.
Career
editAlonestar began his career as a model at the Storm agency, Nevs, and MOT models. He has appeared in several worldwide commercials for brands such as Prada, Coca-Cola, and Calvin Klein. He has featured in many music pop promo videos, television series, and films as both an actor and supporting actor.
In 2011, Alonestar signed with EMI and released Warrior, an EP featuring Jaja Soze, Rosie Ribbons, containing the track "All Falls Down" featuring Ed Sheeran.[3] In the same year, he featured on six singles on the album Dubstep and Funky.[4] He has also featured on Ed Sheeran's singles, including "Move On", "Pause", and "You Need Me, I Don't Need You". Conversely, Ed Sheeran has featured on Alonestar's singles, including "Real Life", "All Falls Down", and "Raise Em Up". The track "Raise Em Up" featured on the Vertigo Films movie, All Stars (2013).[5] It was revealed in 2017 that Ed Sheeran secretly appeared in the video for Alonestar's single "Skyla Rain" in 2010.[6]
In addition to his successful career as a solo artist, Alonestar has collaborated with Chris Brown, and performed gigs with Amy Winehouse at the Elephant Head pub in Camden. He executive produced all the tracks on the Bars and Melody album 143, which reached number 4 on the UK Albums Chart.[7]
In December 2017, he was featured on the Tropical House Cruises to Jamaica compilation album alongside artists such as Damian Marley, Sean Paul, Sean Kingston, Lee "Scratch" Perry, Stephen Marley, Sizzla, and others.[8][9] The album reached number 1 on the US Billboard chart in February 2018, and held the top spot for five weeks and did not drop below the number five spot for a further 15 weeks.[10][8]
Alonestar's album, Sunshine and Rain, released in 2020, was produced by the African producer Herbert Skillz. Its lead single, "Raise Em Up", hit the number one position in the UK iTunes chart and reached the UK Singles Chart,[11] amassing two million streams in one week. The track was played on BBC Radio 1.
Alonestar runs his own record label, Urban Angel Records, and production company, Urban Angel Productions, with bases in Denmark, Bristol, and London.
In 2022, Alonestar signed a deal with Sony Music and has since launched three imprints on digital service providers (DSPs). Prior to his success in music, Alonestar lived in Trinidad where he collaborated with his label partner and best friend, Kojo Rigault.
"Letter 2 Lucifer" is the latest single from Alonestar, released in April 2023. The track features the late rapper 2 Pac and was produced by Alonestar.
With an upcoming album, Love and Pain, featuring Wiz Khalifa, Chris Brown, and Future, set for release in 2023. Alonestar led the Micannes Music Conference Festival in Cannes, France, which took place on 7 June 2023.
Alonestar has been confirmed as the soundtrack producer[12] for the upcoming Van Gogh biopic.[13][14]
Personal life
editAlonestar has a daughter, Skyla Rain Sheeran, with his ex-wife from Trinidad.[15]
In addition to his music career, he is also an entrepreneur. He has his own coffee brand named after his artist name, Alonestar, under his private label Bristol Coffee Co, which is named after his hometown. Furthermore, he is working on a weight loss, life span, and life longevity supplement brand, set to launch in 2023 named "Sheeranator".
Jethro is also actively involved in philanthropy, particularly in the areas of animal welfare and children's charities.[16]
