Jo Porter is an Australian TV producer and television executive. She is best known for her association with the Seven Network drama department for whom she produced All Saints, Always Greener, Headland and Packed to the Rafters. In 2011, she became Director of Drama for Fremantle Media Australia.[1]
She is the co-creator of the TV series Wonderland.
Porter was the series executive producer during Wentworth (TV series) entire run.[2] Porter returned to Foxtel in 2024 for the drama series High Country (TV series) serving as an executive producer and reunited with several members of the Wentworth crew.[3]
In 2020 after an 8 year tenure at Fremantle Media Australia as director of drama of Foxtel and executive producer, Porter was appointed as the Managing Director for Playmaker Studios, and in 2022 the studio was rebranded as Curio Pictures.[4][5]
On September 16 2024, Porter would be announced as the executive producer of Paramount+ series Playing Gracie Darling.[6]
