Joe Robertson (politician)

Joe Paul James Robertson[1] is a British Conservative politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for the Isle of Wight East constituency since 2024.[2]

Political career

Robertson was elected to Isle of Wight Council in 2021. He served as the Conservative group leader between 2021[3] and 2023.[4]

He was selected as the Conservative parliamentary candidate in June 2023 for the newly created Isle of Wight East constituency[5] as part of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies.

In the 2024 United Kingdom general election Robertson was elected to Parliament as MP for Isle of Wight East with 30.6% of the vote and a majority of 3,323.[6]

Personal life

Robertson grew up on the Island and went to school in Ryde.[7] He is a qualified family solicitor.

Robertson lives in St Helens and is married with two children.[8][9]
