Johnny Partin is an American politician who was elected to be the representative of the 3rd ward of the Hopewell city council in 2019, and became mayor in 2020.[1]

Early life and education

Partin was born in 1992 in Hopewell. He graduated from Thomas Dale High School in Chesterfield, Virginia. He grew up in Enon, Virginia.

Partin graduated from Thomas Dale High School and went on to graduate from the Virginia Military Institute in 2014 as a Distinguished Military Graduate with Institute Honors. He then went on to become a student at Virginia State University where he is currently a part time student studying a Masters degree of Economics and Finances. [3]

Political career

Partin won in a 3-way-race over the longtime councilor Anthony J. Zevgolis. Partin won the mayorship at the age of 26, the youngest in the history of Hopewell.[4]
