History
editThe municipality of Kümmernitztal was formed in 2001 as the result of the fusion of the municipalities of Grabow-Buckow and Preddöhl. From 1815 to 1945, the constituent localities of Kümmernitztal were part of the Prussian Province of Brandenburg. From 1952 to 1990, they were part of the Bezirk Potsdam of East Germany.
