Alam was born on 3 March 1974. Alam has a bachelor's and master's in law.[2] He has a Ph.D.[2]

Career

Mr. Justice K.M. Hafizul Alam started his professional career as an Advocate. After enrollment at Bangladesh Bar Council on 29.01.2002 he joined at District Bar Association. He was enrolled as an Advocate of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh on 27.04.2003. He was a member of the Bangladesh Supreme Court Bar Association, Dhaka District Bar Association and Dhaka Taxes Bar Association. He was also enrolled in the Honorable Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh on 29.03.2018. Mr. Alam has worked in renowned law chambers in Bangladesh as an Associate. He was also the head of Dr. Hafiz & Associates, Law Chamber

Elevation to the High Court Division, Supreme Court of Bangladesh :

On 31 May 2018, having more than 16 years carrier as a lawyer Mr. Alam was elevated to the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh as an Additional Judge. On 30.05.2020 Mr. Justice K.M. Hafizul Alam was appointed as Judge of the same Division.

He also travelled Nepal for providing legal support to the US Bangla Air Craft crash victim.
