When Gopinathan Nair arrives to his ancestral village one night with his wife Bhanu and four daughters, planning to settle, the young men around them thank their lucky stars aspiring to woo one of the daughters for themselves.

Not before long, broker Ganapathy is called in to find suitable matches for the two elder sisters, but immediately takes an attraction to the eldest. He brings a proper match to the second sister Midhuna, cleverly keeping the eldest one Geethanjali unmarried, expecting to save her for himself. However, unbeknownst to him, Sathyendran, a blue collar employee renting his house, has successfully wooed Geethu, having seen her photo with Ganapathy. Meanwhile, Rajeevan, a local milk dealer woos the third sister Radhika and the family is forced to agree to their wedding. Now Rajeevan is an orphan, and gets the match fixed hiding this fact, hiring drama artists for his family with the aid of Ganapathy, who helps him with the expectation that his own inferior career wouldn't matter so much after the match with Rajeevan.

However, Ganapathy's hopes are shattered when he realises that Sathyendran has successfully proposed Geethu pretending to be a high class employee from an elite family. Now, Ganapathy knows that Sathyendran is a poor employee and a bastard, but is forced to arrange his wedding with Geethu due to Sathyendran's clever antics.

Thus all three of Gopinathan Nair's adult daughters get married. Realising he has been duped, Ganapathy tries to salvage his situation by blackmailing both Sathyendran and Rajeevan for a large brokerage fee, but again ends up disappointed as Geethu and Raadhu realise their husbands' antics before long. After a short bout of outrage, the couples patch up.

It is then that the real reason why Gopinathan Nair came back to the village from Bombay is revealed - there were murders, witnesses, a hit has been ordered on Nair, and the family is hounded by a cruel mafia boss. How the son-in-laws save their hard-earned family forms the rest of the story.
