Kanchanaphisek (Thai: กาญจนาภิเษก, from Sanskrit: kāñcana 'gold' + abhiṣeka 'anointment') is the Thai term for 'golden jubilee', used for the celebrations of the Golden Jubilee of Bhumibol Adulyadej in 1996.
