History

edit

The Beginning (1961-1991)

KHIND was started by Mr. Cheng King Fa in 1961. Back then, it was called "Syarikat Letrik Kee Hin", derived from two Chinese words 机兴 for mechanical (机) and prosperity (兴). As demand continues to surging, King Fa decided to produce his own DC Ballast and invited his brother, Cheng Hup to co-run the business together. As the business grow, King Fa was able to establish a small factory to produce more products such as DC Ballasts, cable clip and other electric appliances. In 1987, the business sees a rise as Mr. Cheng Ping Keat entered the business with new blood and energy and in 1989, KHIND was established.[5]
