editThe ward covers the northern parts of the town and includes the southern parts of the suburb of Kingsthorpe. It is mostly a mixed area of residential, commercial and industrial.[5][6] It is also home the Grade I listed St John the Baptist church.[7] It borders the Kingsthorpe North ward to the north, Dallington Spencer ward to the west, St. George ward to the south and Boothville and Parklands ward to the east.
